If you would like to match the color
of your lipstick and brow or eyeliner pencil, you are more than
welcome to bring your make-up with you to your procedure.
Does
the procedure hurt?
Everyone
has a different tolerances to pain. Topical anesthetics are now
available, which are applied to the area being treated. The area
becomes numb and most clients usually experience little or no discomfort
during the procedure.
How
long does the procedure take?
The
first visit usually takes between an hour and a half to two hours.
Touch-up visits, which are needed after six to eight weeks after
the initial visit, take about one hour. Will
I look good right away? Do I need to take time off from
work?
You can resume normal activities immediately.
Clients experience very little swelling or discoloration, if any. Will
the pigment fade after the first application?
It
might, however this is normal. A second or even third
follow-up visit are necessary (follow-up visits are
included in the fee) six to eight weeks after the last
procedure. What
do I need to do after the procedure?
You
will be given post-procedure instructions at the end of your visit.
Not following the instructions may result in the pigment lifting,
premature fading or even scaring. May
I be allergic to the pigments?
Extensive research and testing have
been done by the medical and cosmetic industry's to develop non-reactive
pigments. It is extremely rare to be allergic to the pigments.
Permanent Cosmetics uses high quality pigments and have
never experienced a case where a client has experienced an allergic
reaction to
the permanent make-up.
Can
I wear other cosmetics with permanent make-up?
Of
course! You can wear any make-up that you desire, as
long as the pigmented area is completely healed. How
long will the application last?
Once
the pigment has been deposited in the dermal layer of your skin,
pigment will always be there, even if the sun or other factors
bleach it
out.
You will need a color touch-up in a few years to bring the brightness
back to the existing color, especially to your lips and brows.
